I’m not gonna try to emphasize my feelings too much but it’s gonna be hard. I’m a geek, I’ve try to cured myself from that quite a few times but it didn’t work quite well. Worst of all, the disease have spread in my mind and turn me into what you can call the uber geek. The kind of geek that goes postal while watching the teaser trailer for a simple movie…ok for the 50th times of the day. Do you think I should go and see a doctor? Honestly I definitely start to think so. Why? Cause the spirit is driving me crazy.
Adapted from the legendary comic strip, THE SPIRIT is a
classic action-adventure-romance told by genre-twister FRANK MILLER (300 and SIN CITY)
In the vein of BATMAN BEGINS , THE SPIRIT takes us on a sinister, gut-wrenching ride with a hero who is born, murdered and born again. Honestly don’t you hear this little voice in the back of your head? The one telling you that there is a good amount of chances that you’re about to witness something really interesting. You’re not buying it yet? Ok just take a look at the lead trio Gabriel Macht may be a fresh face impossible not to admit that he has the right one for the job. I’m not playing the plant by saying that but he looks great in the spirit outfit ( those who saw the now forbidden pre prod pictures in front of the green screen will understand what I’m talking about…the other will have to wait but it’s gonna worth it.) . Samuel Jackson will be playing his first villain and once again those who saw the “pics” knows that this character promise to be insane mark my words insane… And to finish just look at the female cast and any normal guys would have a lot of troubles resisting the urge of seeing the movie… Paz vega and eva mendes what else I can ask…hmmm maybe Scarlett Johansson, oops she's already there damn :). But all that would not be nothing without a man with a real vision and passion for this project. Frank Miller has been for a long time in love with the work of Will Eisner and what can be done with the character of the Spirit. Now has come the time to prove that he was the right guy for the job. The teaser trailer released recently is a step in the good direction. I’m definitely hooked and can’t wait for more!
